I am a Chartered Accountant in Hemel Hempstead with over 30 years’ experience of working with small and medium-sized businesses. Having trained with a medium-sized practice, I qualified in 1981. I was with that practice for 21 years, after which I spent some time working in industry before starting my own practice. My wide experience has included the building and construction industry, hotels/pubs/restaurants, hair salons, retail, complementary therapists, IT industry, motor industry.
I’ve been working in the family business for more than 5 years now, handling payroll and VAT for our small business clients. This means I receive lots of information from clients, which I then process so that staff and HMRC are informed and paid on time.
I’m also a qualified bookkeeper and a large part of my job is keeping client records in order throughout the year so that their annual accounts can be prepared quickly before the tax year-end.
